Beverly R. Chabot passed away on September 3, 2021 at Bayberry Commons in Pascoag. She was the wife of the late Norman Chabot. Born in Keene, NH, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Ruth (Davis) Lurvey. Beverly was a foster mother for the state of Rhode Island for thirty- two years. Her foster home was affectionally known has Bev’s Bees Nest. She was named Foster Mother of the Year in 1988. Beverly fostered seven of her boys through out their lives. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
Beverly is survived by her children, Patricia Chabot and her husband Gary of Pascoag, Deborah Silverthorne of Chepachet, Michael Paul of Mapleville, and Timothy Paul of North Smithfield, daughter-in-law Kathleen Paul of Warwick; stepchildren, Robert Serafin of Lincoln, Barbara Serafin of Woonsocket, and Bruce Chabot of Newport; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son James Paul and stepchildren, Kathleen Luchessi, Susan Hartnett, and Lynne Grady.
Her funeral will be held Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a service in the Berean Baptist Church, 474 Chapel St. Harrisville. Burial will follow in the Slatersville Cemetery. Visiting hours are Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 5-7 PM.
