Arthur J. Gallotello Sr

Arthur J. Gallotello Sr. 93, passed away on January 25, 2021 at Landmark Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Marie (Albino) Gallotello with whom he would have celebrated their 70th anniversary on June 2, 2021. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was a son of the late Peter and Lucy (Carlucci) Gallotello.  He was a WWII veteran serving in the Army Air Corps. He loved baseball, and was a devoted Yankees fan his entire life.  Arthur was a knitting mechanic for Providence Braid for forty-one years before retiring in 2012 at the tender age of 85. Arthur was dearly loved by his family and always had a smile for everyone. He will be sadly missed.

He was the loving father of two sons: Arthur J. Gallotello Jr. of Woonsocket, and Peter F. Gallotello and his wife Diane of Harrisville, a daughter, Therese Prokop and her husband Stanley of North Attleboro. He also leaves two sisters: Marion Fraumeni of Staten Island, and Joan Collison of Flemington, NJ, four grandchildren: Anthony, Rose, Matthew, and Thomas and one great-grand son, Henry. He was predeceased by his daughter-in-law Celeste Gallotello and siblings Peter Gallotello and Alice Verwoert.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd., Woonsocket, seating is limited. Burial with Military Honors in Resurrection Cemetery is private.
