Annie DiCesare 99, of Rhodes Ave., passed away on July 15, 2023, at The Friendly Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Victorio “Vic” DiCesare. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Alfeo and Guglielma (Simonini) Bernardi. Annie worked in several area textile mills including the former Riverside Industries and Jacob Finklestein & Sons. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, knitting for the family and reading. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She was the loving mother of Dennis DiCesare and his wife Eloise of Woonsocket. She also leaves her grandsons Michael DiCesare and his wife Elizabeth of North Providence, and Nicholas DiCesare and his wife Stacy of Woonsocket and great-grandchildren Riley, Mason, and Myles, and several nieces and nephews. Annie was predeceased by her siblings, Fred Bernardi, and Theresa Lucchesi.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, July 31, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony’s Church, Greene St. Woonsocket. The family will receive guests beginning at 9:30 AM, at the entrance of the church. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery in Blackstone. The family would like to thank the staff at The Friendly Home for their kindness and the dedicated care that was given to Annie.
