Anita B (Cote) Long

Anita B. Long 101, formerly of Woonsocket, died January 19, 2018 at the Three Rivers Nursing Home in Norwich, CT. Anita lived most of her life in Woonsocket before moving to CT. She was the wife of the late George J. Long. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Romulus and Ophelia (Nault) Cote. She was a 1934 graduate of Woonsocket High School and a 1952 graduate of the former Hill College. Mrs. Long was employed as an office manager, first at Mack Buick for fifteen years, then by Froment Brothers Vending and Catering for ten years, and lastly by Dumais Plumbing & Heating from where she retired in 1979. She was an avid swimmer and member of the YMCA for over for years. She was a member of the Woonsocket Quota Club for thirty five years.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Anita was the sister of the late Irene H. Battye, and Raymond E. and Hubert A. Cote.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 9:00 AM at the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a service in the Funeral Home at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Blackstone.
