Alma C. Boisseau 101, passed away on December 12, 2025, at Hope Hospice and Palliative Care. She was the wife of the late David J. Boisseau with whom she was married for sixty years. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Aurore (Rondeau) Cartier.
Alma worked at the Rosemont Mill, and Nyman’s for several years and then retired in 1986 after eighteen years at A.T. Cross. She volunteered at Landmark Medical Center, the Woonsocket Senior Center and St. Joseph’s Food Cupboard. Alma enjoyed knitting, crocheting and quilting.
She is survived by her daughters Denise Bourget and her husband Paul, and Pauline Lalonde and her husband Roger, all of Woonsocket, son-in-law Lucien Blanchard of Bellingham, ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Lorraine Blanchard, and siblings Ovila “Pete’ Cartier and Violette Remillard.
Her funeral will be held Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 9:00 AM at the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Wednesday 4-6 PM.
