Shirley M. (Bourgeois) Nadeau

Shirley M. Nadeau 93, of Albion Rd. died October 13, 2017 at Bayberry Commons. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond N. Nadeau. Born in Cambridge, MA, she was a daughter of the late Angus and Bertha (Gay) Bourgeois. Shirley worked at the Almacs Supermarket in Park Square for many years retiring in 1979 as the head cashier. She was a very skilled knitter and created beautiful handmade socks. Shirley was known for her delicious canned piccalilli.

She was the loving mother of her daughter Nancy Nadeau of Lincoln, and loving grandmother of her granddaughter Kristi Martel, a great-granddaughter Magdelena Rose Martel Riskalla, and a sister Janet Duhamel of Woonsocket. She was predeceased by a brother Wilfred Bourgeois, and a sister Ruth Bourgeois Caron.

Her funeral with visitation will be held Wednesday October 18^th at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Ambrose Church, School St. in Albion.  Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: St. Ambrose Church, P.O. Box 67, Albion RI, 02802.
