Raymond Duhamel 90, died May 26, 2018 at Landmark Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of the late Claire (Arel) Duhamel. Born in Nasonville, he was a son of the late Joseph A. and Delia (Lalancette) Duhamel. He was a US Air Force Veteran. Ray was a draftsman for Augat Inc. for ten years before retiring in 1992. After his retirement he worked part-time for the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home for over twenty years. He was a former member of the Woonsocket Lodge of Elks #850, and the Veteran’s of Foreign War Post #11519. Ray and Claire were avid ballroom dancers and for many years spent most Saturday evenings at local dance venues.
Ray is survived by his girls, Susan Duhamel, Jane Tellier, and Carol Duhamel all of Woonsocket, two grandchildren, Danielle Laskey and Matthew Tellier, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Bertrand Duhamel, and a sister Gloria Fioravanti.
His funeral will be held Tuesday at 10:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Monday 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to ALS Association RI Chapter, 2374 Post Rd.
