Rachel D Girard

Rachel D. Girard 84, formerly of Privilege St. died October 23, 2018 at The Friendly Home. She was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Wilbrod and Florida (Mayer) Boucher. Rachel was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a member of the Waterview Tenants Association.

She is survived by two sons Ronald Girard of North Smithfield, and David Girard of Cumberland, two daughters, Lucille Girard of East Providence, and Jacqueline Garriepy of Woonsocket, a sister Claire Marquis of Hudson, NH, and six grandchildren, Kristen Schrauben of MI, Michael Girard of CT, Stephanie Girard of Cumberland, Ava Delasanta of DC, Lana Delasanta of CT, and Jake Girard of North Smithfield. She was predeceased by her former husband Lionel Girard, and siblings, Gerard, Normand, and Richard Boucher, Lucille Therien, and Madeleine Robin.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in All Saints Church, Rathbun St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Monday 4-7 PM.  In lieu of flowers donations in her memory to The Friendly Home Activities Fund, 303 Rhodes Ave. Woonsocket, RI 02895 would be appreciated.
