Mary (Melnick) Horan

Mary (Melnick) Horan 95, formerly of Cadoret Drive, died June 27, 2017 at The Holiday. She was the wife of the late Frederick (Terrence) F. Horan. Born in Manville, she was the daughter of the late Zephraim and Annie (Pelkas) Melnick. Mary was a Registered Nurse and worked at Taunton State Hospital for many years.

Mary was predeceased by her daughter Cynthia A. Ferragamo. She is survived by two grandchildren, Michael Ferragamo and his wife Sarah of Arlington, VA and Theresa Gomes and her husband Nick of Taunton, MA , a brother Michael Melnick, and one great-grandchild Brayden Gomes.

Visitation will be held Friday at the Holy Dormition Orthodox Church, 71 Manville Hill Rd. Cumberland, RI from 3:30 – 5:30 PM with a vigil prayer service beginning at 6:30 PM. The Funeral service will be held Saturday at 9:30 AM in the church, followed by burial in Resurrection Cemetery in Cumberland. In lieu of flowers donations to Holy Dormition Orthodox Church, 71 Manville, Hill Rd. Cumberland, RI 02864 in her memory would be appreciated.
