Louis J. Roy

Louis J. Roy 79, of Mapleville died June 17, 2018 at Trinity Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of Rolande (St. Germain) Roy. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Leo and Jeannette (Gagnon) Roy. Louis was the owner and operator of Leo’s Auto Parts in North Smithfield for over fifteen years. He was a member of New England Country Jamboree in Uxbridge for many years.

Besides his wife he leaves three brothers Robert Roy of Westboro, MA, David Roy of Woonsocket, and Paul Roy of N. Smithfield, three sisters Alice Mercure of Millville, Jeanne Bernier of Blackstone and Pauline Douthitt of Oregon, and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Leo and Albert Roy and Marie Jackson.

His funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Service in the Funeral Home at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Harrisville. Visiting hours are Wednesday 5-7 PM.
