Leo E. Dufresne 68, of Litzen Rd. died September 22, 2018 in Las Vegas, NV. He was the husband of Jeanne (Carriere) Dufresne. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Leo Dufresne and Jeannette (Labreche) Dufresne Guilbert. He was a graduate of Mt. St. Charles Academy. Leo was the founder of Blackstone Valley Security which he owned and operated until 1995. He most recently worked for the US Postal Service. Leo was a Certified Protection Professional and a member of the American Society for Industrial Security. He was a member of the Smithfield EMS and the Personnel Board of North Smithfield.
Besides his wife he leaves his five sons, David Dufresne of New Windsor, MD, Kevin, Brian and Daniel Dufresne all of Woonsocket, and Peter Dufresne of Lincoln; three sisters Denise Martin of Webster, MA, Helene Levesque of Mims, FL and Michelle DeLisle of Woonsocket, and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister Diane Keith.
His funeral will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 10:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Tuesday 5-7 PM.
