Kasimer J. “Alex” Alexander 94, of Fairfield Ave., died January 7, 2018 at Oakland Grove Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of Claire (Berthiaume) Alexander. Born in Bellingham, he was a son of the late John and Mary (Soleicki) Aleksandrowicz. Kasimer was a machinist for the Draper Corporation for thirteen years. He was a WWII Navy Veteran. Alex was the #1 member of the Cercle Laurier. He was a great cook and enjoyed woodworking, but his greatest love was his children.

 

He is survived by five sons, Emery “Joe” Alexander of Harrisville, Kasimer Alexander Jr. of Largo, FL, Thomas Alexander of AZ, Richard Alexander of Sterling, CT., and John Alexander of Woonsocket; three daughters, Barbara Eastland of VT. Denise Hunt of Norwell, MA, and Debra Durkin of Cumberland, two sisters Stacia Szuflicki and Victoria Rifer both of Bellingham, sixteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two daughters, Suzanne Auger, and Gail Enright.

 

His funeral with visitation will be held Thursday, January 11, 2018 beginning at 9:00 AM at the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Cumberland. In lieu of flowers, donations to Beacon Hospice, 1 Catamore Blvd. East Providence, RI 02914 in his memory would be appreciated.
