Jeanne E. Sutherland

Jeanne E. Sutherland 78, formerly of Pond St. died Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at St. Antoine Residence. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Maurice and Aurore (Pellerin) Sutherland. Jeanne worked for Magill Box in Plainville, MA.  She was a daily communicant at St. Antoine Residence. Before entering St. Antoine’s she was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Charles Church and was a member of the St. Ann’s Ladies Guild and Presentation of Mary Mother Rivier Society. She belonged to the Escort Volunteer Services at Woonsocket Hospital, and also a volunteer at Woonsocket Health Center and Park View Manor. Jeanne enjoyed traveling and was a former member of the Royal Travelers.  She loved bowling and playing bingo at St. Antoine Residence.

Jeanne is survived by several cousins including her caregiver Muriel Campanelli of North Smithfield.

Her funeral will be held Friday at 10:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St Antoine Residence Chapel, 10 Rhodes Ave. N. Smithfield. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Thursday 5-7 PM.
