Gertrude T. (Pelletier) Barrie

Gertrude T. Barrie 97, formerly of Woonsocket, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2019, at The Holiday in Lincoln. She was the wife of the late Edward L. Barrie. Born in Millville, MA she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Leopauldine (Pelletier) Pelletier. She worked for the former Argone Worsted Co. for twenty years. Gert enjoyed taking care of her home and family and loved to bake. She volunteered at her parish Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church. Gert believed in eating healthy and exercise and walked five miles a day. She was an advocate for animal welfare and donated to several animal charities and organizations.

She is survived by her daughter Anne M. Masnyk and her husband Mariusz of Lincoln, and two granddaughters, Kelsey and Jenna.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Holy Trinity Church, 1409 Park Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery in Blackstone. Visiting Hours are Tuesday 6-8 PM.
