Emile Dagesse Obituary

Emile M. Dagesse 82, of Main St. died June 7, 2018 at Oakland Grove Health Care Center. He was the beloved husband of Pauline (Henault) Dagesse. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Leonard and Delvica (Breault) Dagesse. Emile worked as a house painter for Bertarelli Construction in Brockton , MA for over twenty years. He retired in 1998 from CVS where he worked as a forklift operator for many years. Emile was an avid bowler and served as secretary and treasurer of two area bowling leagues for thirty five years. He was a lifetime member of the Cercle Laurier. He also was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing golf.  

Besides his wife he leaves a daughter Mary A. Porter and her husband Brian of Woonsocket, his two cherished granddaughters Ashley P. Swenson of Woonsocket, and Erika M. Swenson of Warwick, step-granddaughter Crystal Lacouture and her husband Josh of Pascoag, brother-in-law Richard Henault and his wife Peggy of Bella Vista, AR, three step-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter Patricia Robin Dagesse and siblings, Maurice, Lionel, and Lucien Dagesse, Irene Nicholson, Florence Ethier, and Muriel Dansereau.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 22, 2018 at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. The family will receive guests beginning at 9:30 AM. Burial is private.
