Doris (Lacroix) Harnois, 88, formerly of Pond St., passed away November 25, 2019 at The Holiday Retirement Home in Lincoln. She was the wife of the late Lionel. J. Harnois. Born in Berlin, NH, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Rosilda (Leveillee) Lacroix. She worked at Falls Yarn for twenty five years, Tupperware for 9 years and Mark Stevens for eight years before retiring. Doris was a member of Parkview Social Club, and Our Lady Queen of Martyrs’ Sodality where she also taught CCD. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing bingo, going to the Casino and traveling. Doris was also a major foodie and loved going out to eat. She is survived by her two sons, Jean Harnois of Woonsocket, Lionel R. Harnois and his companion Donna Armstrong of Greenville, a daughter Lorraine Staelen of Smithfield, four brothers, Raymond Lacroix of FL, Roland Lacroix of CT, Roger Lacroix of SC, and Richard Lacroix of FL, three sisters, Rose Ange Lemay of GA, Pauline McKee of FL, Jacqueline Reynolds of FL, and a granddaughter Gabrielle Paola and her husband Michael of FL. She was predeceased by three brothers Gerard, Conrad and Albert Lacroix, a sister Therese Julien, and a son-in-law Jacques E. Staelen Jr.Her funeral will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Holy Trinity Church, Park Ave, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham.
