Arthur Dubois

Arthur Dubois 98, of East School St. died Friday, July 26, 2019. Arthur was the beloved husband of the late Edna (Lezy) Dubois for seventy-one years. A life long city resident, Arthur was a son of the late Aristide and Ovida (Chevrette) Dubois. Arthur was a WWII Army Veteran. He was employed by the Woonsocket School Department as a custodian for many years. He was a member of the Italian Working Man’s Club, the VFW in Forestdale, the DAV in Manville and several of the local Senior Citizens Clubs.

Arthur was predeceased by a brother, Lucien Dubois, a sister Rita Wood, his dearest and closest friends, Mario Andreoni Sr., Rita Andreoni, and Mario Andreoni Jr.

He is survived by his nephew Lt. General (USAF Retired) Normand G. Lezy and niece Prudence Lezy of Texas; nephew Arthur Lezy and family of North Carolina; goddaughter, Lola Andreoni Duclos, her husband Russell and family of Cumberland; godson and grandnephew Normand R Lezy and family of Honolulu, HI; and grandnephew Eric Lezy and family of Seekonk, MA. He will also be missed by his dear close friend, Doris Andreoni and the Andreoni family.

Funeral and burial arrangements are private and at Arthur’s and the family’s request.
