Slatersville
Armand F. DeVaudreuil, Jr. 69, of Ridge Rd, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 9. He was the loving husband of Susan (Patrice) DeVaudreuil. He was born in Woonsocket, the son of the late Armand DeVaudreuil, Sr and the late Emma (Goguen) DeVaudreuil. He was a Vice President at Polytop Corporation where he worked for over forty years retiring in 2010. Armand was involved as a volunteer in the early stages of the Stadium Theatre Restoration. He also volunteered his time for Junior Achievement, was a former coach of Woonsocket CYO Girls Basketball and was an avid golfer. He also loved woodworking and spending time with his family. He was a proud alumnus of Mount St. Charles Academy, where he loved playing goalie for Mount’s hockey team.
In addition to his beloved wife Susan, he is survived by two daughters: Amy DeVaudreuil of San Diego, Julie DeVaudreuil and her husband Brian Wenzel of Slatersville, and a sister Carol Church of Slatersville. He was also the proud Papa of five grandchildren; Ella, Zaida, Jasmine, Damon, and Griffin, and is additionally survived by a niece Jennifer Hawes and her husband Scott, and their children Max and Carter of Slatersville. He was also the father of the late Lori DeVaudreuil.
His funeral will be held Tuesday, May 15, at 10:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St, Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 in St. John’s Church, Slatersville. Visitation will be Monday 4-7 PM. Burial will be private.
