Raymond H. Belisle

Raymond H. Belisle, age 90, of Butler Street, Blackstone and formerly of Thayer St. in Millville, MA died August 16, 2017 at the home of his son James R. and daughter-in-law Diane R. Belisle. Ray was the husband of the late Theresa (Clement) Belisle, and son of the late Raymond and Angelina (Beauregard) Belisle.

He is survived by his only son, James “Lenny” Belisle and his wife Diana Rose Belisle, his only grandchild, James P. Belisle and his fiancée Jennifer Buckley and their children, Raymond’s great grandchildren Parker Raymond Belisle and Joseph Shaughnessy, and his only sibling, Gloria Laroche of Mapleville, RI, and many nieces and nephews.

Raymond was honored in 2014 for his commendable efforts as he proudly served as a WWII US Marine Sniper in the South Pacific Theater in Okinawa. When his service was complete, Ray went back home to his family and worked for many years in the Maintenance Department at the US Army Research and Development Labs located in Natick, MA. After retirement, Ray enjoyed tending to his cattle farm and remained working outdoors for as long as he could.

 A Private Burial with Military Honors will be held in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.
