Leopold R. Taillon

Leopold “Leo” R. Taillon 82, of Monty Ave. died August 15, 2017 at Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of Pauline (Marquis) Taillon. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Joseph and Marie Rose (Dussault) Taillon. Leo was the production manager for Bellevance Metals in Attleboro for many years. He later worked in security for the Woonsocket Housing Authority for eight years. Leo was a member of the Field of Dreams Softball League in Woonsocket. His favorite saying was “Do Good-Be Good”!

Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Michael Taillon of Delmont, PA and David Taillon of Warwick, a daughter, GiGi Lebrun Fahey of Florida, a brother Gerald Taillon, five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by a brother Richard Taillon.

His funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Cumberland. Visiting hours are Thursday 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38101-9908 in his memory would be appreciated.
